Mission

The Social Work Doula Mentor Program is creating a space to inspire a community of care providers rooted in the intersections of mental health, community care, education and support for birthing folks. Our community is for advocates of mental health, reproductive justice, and perinatal health equity.

The Social Work Doula Mentor Program is a 3-week group mentoring program designed for student and professional social workers pursuing birth work. The program includes live mentor discussions, shared resources, a private online community and discounts from community partners for doula trainings, documentation, resources and more! The program is completely virtual and supported through the Zoom platform.

The Social Work Doula Mentor Program runs quarterly.

Stay tuned for 2023 Cohort dates.

I truly enjoyed having the opportunity to join the Social Work Doula Program with Sydney. As a recent MSW graduate that is beginning her birth work journey, the information I received was very informative and useful. Prior to joining, I was a bit frantic about entering this birth work journey as a MSW and how to merge the two. However, I gained so much confidence in the work that I intend to do. If you are a social worker and interested in birth work I highly recommend this program! BTW: The guest speakers were amazing!  Thank you Sydney for creating this space for us!

The program was well organized and gave a good overview of the birth worth and its intersectionality with the Social Work field. It is a good starting point for those interested in moving more within this field.

The Social Work Doula Mentor Program runs quarterly.

The next cohort begins:
